Zauberer sind eine Rasse???

Im HdR-Universum schon, wenn ich das richtig verstanden hab... Gandalf, Saruman & Co. sind jedenfalls keine Menschen.

Die Zauberer in Mittelerde sind eigentlich Maiar (spirituelle Wesen, ähnlich wie Engel), die körperliche Form angenommen haben, um den Leuten in Mittelerde gegen Sauron beizustehen. Es gibt nur sieben davon.
